new here

New here, but been reading alot of posts about odor of booze even days after drinking. Very helpful. I havent decided to goto AA, I went to some outpatient help per my psychologist. I believe i can do it on my own, or maybe help from talking to people on here. I quit but went back to binge on weekend only. Ive been in trouble at work 4 times the last time was basically if you come to work smell like booze again, i will be fired on the spot. im feeling some physical effects i havent really new about or just ignored but getting pass out drunk every night for 9 years straiogh.

So thats how I wanted to say "Hello" here today.

thanksthanks

Welcome to SR Paul. You'll find a lot of support and information here, hope we can help you reach your goals. It's a lot easier to do this with help vs on your own so I hope you'll stick around!

Nice to meet you Paul. Lots of people do quit without AA, but for me, part of getting sober was realizing that I couldn't do it all on my own. Even coming here, or seeing a psychologist isn't "on your own." I had to put aside my pride for a minute and realize that asking for help is ok. It's why we're all here - drunks or not - to help each other out. Anyway...welcome
