Things get better

Hi,

I'm at 220 continuous sober days. Everyone says life gets so much better, and sleeping better, less anxiety, not waking up feeling like crap, and no real stomach issues does make life better. But I just thought I mention there's a workout I've been doing for years and I hope by the end of the summer I'll be able to do it a full minute faster pace. It doesn't make sense. Six years after my best times I'm now a full minute pace faster. Just goes to show you when you stop drinking things can improve beyond your wildest imagination. So for those of you struggling, you can do it. Just keep at it

Right on! I've been trying to last a minute longer at a workout I've also been doing for years. My longest time was years ago and I'm not too optimistic but i'll keep trying.

Agree. Physically, I am like superman to my slovenly self in 2014.

I can outlast folks half my age at the gym.

However, I got myself addicted to caffeine and sugar.

I am detoxing as I type. Nothing compared to booze detox.

Thank you Roger,

That's really encouraging to know.

At 228 days I'm looking younger than I did five years ago with clear skin, sparkly bright eyes and the same waistline I had at 16.

Just got to work on my fitness and I think I migh just do that now!

Thanks again. :-)
