Thanks guys, I'll be celebrating the year soon.

I gave up for 4.5 Years before, then I met someone in Tokyo who said, aw c'mon, you'll be alright, you've stopped for 4.5 years, you can't have a drinking problem.

So out we went, I got totally drunk of course, I was ready to believe I was good to go after the 4.5 years sober, gave up smoking the same time I gave up drinking, never craved either, actually felt good when I told people I didn't drink, at least I didn't start smoking again.

That must of been 10 or 11 Years ago, I've never been an everyday drinker, never really been into hard liquor, just beer mainly, then wine because I wouldn't get so drunk, wrong again, seems that every time I drank, I got drunk and my anxiety levels were through the roof so I had a drink to calm down when going anywhere, if I stayed home I was fine but I would become really anxious when I was going out, so it was either Xanax or Beer to calm down and feel normal in the anxiety department, vicious circle as one beer led to lots of beer, and so it went on.
So last year I decided I'd had enough, and packed it up again, my social anxiety has nearly gone, what I thought was the cure was actually the cause in the first place.

See how it goes this time, thanks for the welcome , I'm happy to have found the forum.
