Ok I'm back from the tour bus!
It was really good haha- it's new orleans though, I should've known it would be fun.
This is an incredible city in so many ways- I wish I had more time here!
There's so much I'll miss, I'm going to have to come back.
Well I have time, what I don't have is the money to stay here longer.
I'm thinking I might try to do a semester abroad here- then I can live here for 4 months.
The crime is bad- but I'm a criminology major haha
I went on a hurricane Katrina tour too for about an hour, visited the levees and went to the 9th ward!
On the other hand I am ashamed to admit that I have eaten......
3 beignets
2 bread puddings
A brownie
Strawberry bread pudding
A Cajun hot dog
Seafood jambalaya
Brie and gouda
A whole tomato with pesto all over it
Grilled asparagus with swiss cheese
Lobster macaroni and cheese
Assorted deli meats
3 coffees
And two huge breakfasts
This needs to stop!!!!!

Good news is that I found a cabin/ shack on the beach in grand isle for $40 a night!
Waaaaaay down in the bayou- eating, reading, swimming and swamp exploring for me!
I'll stay there 3-4 days- I think it's suits me better than florida

Hi - went out to dinner with my husband. It was a good time until he started up with the insults of how my head is in the sand regarding how corrupt our government is etc.. and I could go on and on. While my brain was coated with benzos and booze, I just hadn't realized how angry and insecure he is. Anyways, I am laying quietly now, listening to music and letting him be in the back with his conspiracy theories on computer. Not my fight. Thanks for listening.

The Denver Gal Pal's new BF [a re-kindled Relationship from High School] is officially un-kindled. He sent her a brusque Text while she was in a Morning Ballet Bar Class, and broke up. Just like that. Reminiscent of Phil Collins telling one of his several Ex-Wives by FAX while on the Road that he wanted a Divorce.
SOOOOOO, no New Love Drama will be playing out here in MesaVille during this Couple's pending July Visit against a background of her and MesaMate swilling Wine, and huffing Pot while the Sober new BF and I watched.
I decided to keep my POV terse. I told MesaMate that there was no way their new Romance was gonna play out here on my Watch anyway since I had not planned to be around. She was nonplussed.
Turns out he's 'going back' to the 7 Year Relationship he's had going on, and was lying about. He had given our Gal Pal a $25,000 Ring. Was going to give her his BMW Convertible. Had the Moving Van arriving this Week to move to Denver from the Region Jen is now in. Her House was being arranged to suit their common Tastes, and lotsa Life Priorities were being rearranged. Not in any unhealthy way, but in an accommodating way. That's just who she is.
Since this Kosmic Kerfuffle comes on the Heels of a prior, disastrous On Line 'Relationship', our Pal says 'she's giving up Dating for a while'. Ya think?
So, MesaMate is staying with her for part of the time she's around Denver while I go Fishing w/MesaDog. They can Drink and Smoke and commiserate Lost Love Summer Camp-style. Everybody's happy. This Gal is really sweet. Mebbe too much so. And, makes a Guano-load of Money in High Tech Management. A real catch for a Real Dude. She had done the 'Chick In Love' Routine, and lost weight. Which dictated a new Wardrobe. Natchally...
Meanwhile, as of this Morning, I'm looking boringly-desirable by comparison in my predictable, Sober stability. I'll take it!

Even though it looks like a beautiful day. After being out in it for a bit it gets old quick... perfect weather for drying tobacco leaves. Which is what the cauliflower looks like. I watered a second time - it is desert like conditions and drying everything up very quickly...
The good news is ------- chocolate ice cream!
Hope everyone is doing alright. - considering the news, the weird people etc, being sober does have many more advantages than the alternative.

I've only known one person who believed in conspiracy theories. They were really hung up on the 'We Never Really Landed on the Moon' theory for some reason.
