day 15

Tonight is day 15 and I'm starting to hear my av saying "one drink would be fine just one" bit I know that's a lie.. one turns into 6 easily then before you know it I'm running back to the store half drunk to buy more. But I do miss my late evening cocktail, just wish I new how to moderate. Everyone I try I fail. Because I'm a alcoholic I can never moderate. I can just drink and drink until I stumble my drunk behind to my room and fall asleep and wake up feeling crappy.. and that's why I will not have just one.

Congrats on 15 days tonib! Your line of thinking is sound..keep reminding yourself of that too, even when the cravings aren't immediate.

Other than not drinking, what are you doing to treat your alcoholism? 15 days is good going. I made it to 21 on my own power, and that is an incredibly long time, but I couldn't make it permanent on my own.

Great achievment, fifteen days.

Alcoholism and the addictive voice is relentless in trying to persuade us "this next" time will different. And as you've said, you've fallen for it before. Don't this time. Don't lose your momentium, don't put yourself through the misery of yet another day one.

When the voice is getting a bit louder, I like to believe it's because it knows it's losing. It's because it's feeling your strength and resolve and it's not happy. You are doing great!
