Oh Wow!

Now, this lil ~1.5' Snake just slithered by! Hee hee, I'm in a proverbial Zoo!

You're absolutely right, Ruby. Most of us bond in periodic Blizzards up there @ ~9,000' to help out one another.

We installed central AC a few years ago. I don't like the extra electric bill but I love the AC. It sure beats lugging window units and the noise is less and we don't have to stay in the one or two rooms with the AC units. That snake reminded me of the bat flying around the house a couple of weeks ago. I trapped it with a trash can then slid a baking pan under it to move it back outside.

Here's the garden today. I guess everything is going to rally even though it's a slow start. I've got so much room left in there but I don't know what else to put in.

I've never planted lettuces for myself and I wish I had done that. I might still do that. Some buttercrunch and lolla rossa would be awesome to clip and eat daily!

I sparked a powerful craving to eat beef and I'm gonna walk over to the Brazilian place and scratch that itch.

And read, I got the kindle unlimited trial subscription so I'm going to read as many free books as I can in a month. I got all recovery related books, I'll let you guys know which ones I liked.

Yes, Melina, please let us know about the books. I have a Kindle Unlimited subscription. It saves me a lot of $$$ because I go through 2-3 books a week. I have read a few crap books, but most have been okay or very good.

Melina I think you've got about enough in the garden unless you have a separate plot I can't see. All that stuff will spread out as the summer goes on.

G'night Brain.

Behan I hope little B sleeps tonight for you and the missus.

Time to feed my own livestock. The cats are circling me and staring at me with that look only cats can give

LBrain, thank you! I am not hugely handy, but I can give this a try with the shades.

Oh, man. That snake!

Melina, I went to the farmers market fully intending to bring back lettuce to grow on my deck. Then I decided to just buy some lovely nice stuff hat was available there.

Salmon, caprese salad and fresh asparagus for din-din.

Fellow readers, I'm going to be recommending "The Last Report on the Miracles at Little Horse" for a long time. (See yesterday.)

Definitely let us know! I live my kindle and my kindle unlimited.

This is such a great thread, thanks to all for making my weekend AV burden much quieter and easier to carry. 😊

Here ya go, that's what I downloaded for free so far. Except The Sober Kitchen. I've had that a long time, I paid for it.

I thought kindle unlimited meant I could read any book free, grrr. So I'll just do it for this month before they charge me, and continue with the requests I have in to the library to hold the juicy reads I crave, like The Recovering Body, Sweetbitter and the Straight Pepper Diet

Good luck JSB. You're a pro, you'll get 'er done. As an experienced "roadie" I often get scared before big trips, too. You know what to pack, and you know what to do. Just stay the course and stay sober - everything else is icing on the cake.

Another weekend comes to an end...I'm geared up for the work week and before you know it, it'll be Friday again.
I watched House of Cards, season 4 this weekend. I like that one.
mld...4 books a week is a lot! I'm lucky if I read 4 books per year these days. It'll take me a year to read Shantaram. ...too much tv and sleeping going on here. I should read more.
Good night. ..see you all tomorrow.
