Hello all, as some of you know I'm in the middle of divorce and child custody proceedings. My ex and I have 50-50 custody (for now), with him having domiciliary (for now). We see the judge on Monday for the final word on custody and child support. I'm so nervous. I've been sober almost 8 months but my ex is very sly. He is also very controlling and to him, being a domiciliary parent is the same as having sole custody. I can't even make a doctor appointment for our son without him changing it. Well, wish me luck! You have sobriety on your side. A great lawyer always helps. That's how I lost part custody. My ex has an amazing lawyer and alcohol was not an issue in our hearing. However, he is sneaky and manipulative and somehow I had 100% full custody when I walked in and walked out with 50% plus shared weekends and holidays. I wish you the best of luck. Sometimes alcohol doesn't even need to be a factor.
