B1 injections
I went for blood work when I was actively drinking and the nurse at my doctors office told me my B12 was really low, and set me up with a monthly shot, I was actively drinking so it probably didn't help then but I do take it now over the counter and my latest blood work was darn near perfect.

I think the dr. will give a B1 injection if you are low. The liver uses B1 when it oxidizes alcohol so alcoholics are usually deficient...if not very deficient. Long term deficiency can lead to Wernekes. Which is horrid....my father has it.
So with the guidance of your Dr, why not? B vits are water soluble and are great for the CNS. But of course, your dr should be your guide in this.
