HAHA Sao. Have a good day!

I am off to do this or that. First real day of vaca.

Morning everyone!

I feel really good and relaxed this morning. Broke routines. Feels good to do that when I am the one breaking them. If they are broke by others I get fershmeckled.

Amazing day at the beach. This huge otter came right past me on the rocks and dropped into the water. I watched him catch a fish a minute for about seven catches. Then he decided to come out of the water; he hadn't seen me and came right at me! Freaked me out so I stood up and put my hands on my hips. He stopped dead. Probably 20 yards from me. Sniffed and said, "Oh it's you Bim."

reminds me of the heron at the 'creek' I started fishing. My second time there I saw him and he just caught another big trout. It took some effort but he finally choked it down his throat.

Marty, when I read your post I was thinking the exact same thing as Venecia posted - his loss. Sober onward...

Sao, you were such a cutie. What happened?

Well I woke up with a sore throat. I finished my day at 7 PM yesterday, hurriedly put things away, took a shower and went to neighbor to watch game 1 of Stanley Cup final. And yes, Pittsburgh won game one - thank goodness, I don't think I could have handled them balling over it if they lost. Any way, from the dogs, and being around different people who are around different people, I may have picked up something. It also could have something to do with the fact the I was awake for 21 hours straight, working and sweating all day and they have their air conditioning set to, everyone needed a blanket. I just don't get it. We (not me) make our homes too warm in winter and too cold in summer... could be why I have a sore throat? Second cup of coffee going... then it's back outside. Not waiting for the wife before I make noise today. I need to get this complete this morning...

And the electric company is going to be digging up the street. The transformer is half on my property - I have a very nice flower garden surrounding the utility mounts. Yesterday I dug up a bunch of flowers and potted them either to go back or relocate...

A good Schnooze was had by all last Night, so the last phase of clearing out this House happens this Morning. Stick a Fork in my Azz, I'm done. I'm all *Housed out*. After Years of Rental Properties prior - and having 3 Houses - I be ready to move on to other things in Life. Exciting times, just to realize that. While permanently Sober. Not to mention that dropping these Property Taxes; Mountain Subdivision Fees; and nixing the Electricity Bill instantly puts another ~$350-/Month in our Pockets.

In a neato Karmic sendoff, some Afternoon Showers yesterday led to the damp Environs that - in this cool @ 9,050' - caused Fog that is really special up here in the Pines. Leisurely & chilled Geezer Driving will get us Home safely as we put 20 Years of Memories up here to a pleasant rest.

Good morning!
Feeling better about things this morning. I guess. I didn't think I'd have quite the emotional reaction I did to cutting things off with the guy friend. But I guess it makes sense. We have been a big part of each other's lives for a long time, through good and bad. Any sort of ending is sad, especially when the other one refuses to be a jerk about it! Damn, it would have been easier if I could have gotten angry! But he had to be so nice, damn him! But this morning I'm going to focus on the opportunity of a fresh start. I guess I need to give the new guy a new nickname, Ruby brought up the difficulty surrounding his initials, so I'll stop calling him that. Plus, it's also my mom's initials and that's a little weird. I'll think on it.

Sao! Love the mullet picture! Are you tall? You look like you could be.

Ken - enjoy your vacation!

Melina - sorry your visit with your friend went south. Bummer.

Ok - I'd better go get ready for work! I have a lot to do today - working on the website, which is a disaster right now. I barely know what I'm doing, but I'll figure it out. the training I've had so far is enough to get me going.

Back to work. I wish the three-day weekend could have been a four-day weekend. But then I'd just want it to be a five-day weekend ...

Glad to hear you're feeling better, Marty.

Sao, were you in Duran Duran?

Later ...

I missed all of Sao's pictures because they don't show on my phone. My iPad was dead this morning. I'll just have to be patient.

Heading to work on the train. Seeing all sorts of giant gardens out the window. So much vacant property on the Southside.

Brain I hope that you shake the sore throat.

Mesa good luck with the house. Sounds bittersweet. But you did get the fog. Fog is cool.

So. Dee's taking a break!? I blame SuiD.

No, I get it. I don't know how or why he has put in so much time over the years on SR. So much misery and angst on newcomers - and he saw it all, and even had to find ways to stay positive and uplifting. I go to three or four newcomer threads and after that I'm nope.

I have to really use all my tools to keep from allowing negativity in. If I read too much about it, it affects me. I have to keep my eyes forward, focusing on the good in my life: good nutrition, meditation, nature, joy, beauty, peace. I admire Dee, and he deserves a break.
