First AA Meeting, nervous, what to expect?

I'm SO glad I did. We read Step 4 (I even read a paragraph, someone lent me a book!) And I did introduce myself, but passed on sharing.

After, one guy made sure I had the other girls number and knew where the meetings were and told me what they covered.

I used to know the one guy fairly well and he assured me it's anon and I wasn't there ☺but that he was fine with me telling my husband he was.

It was great. I then went back to the BBQ instead of coming home to drink alone, which is what I would have done in the past. Looking forward to the next one and feeling encouraged to read more big book and get the 12 steps book#

Yay!!! Go you! It takes a lot of courage to go into those rooms, I'm proud of you! Keep going back hun, AA is really helping me so Im confident it can help you too
