We've all been there. Stick close to this site, and spend time reading and posting. As far as the shakes, that is normal for the first few days. Get hydrated with water or Gatorade, and even if you aren't hungry eat something. IF you get the urge to drink, post here, someone is always on to help.
I am fairly new as well on here, and one thing I found was to read other peoples posts to learn ways others coped, etc.
There are some great people on here, and everyone knows what you are experiencing.

Hi Meena. It's good that you're here. I was nervous when I stopped too but life does get better.
Early on just take care of yourself. Making sure you don't get too hungry, angry, lonely or tired. Eat something if you're feeling cravings to drink. I found ice cream really helpful.
Stick with it. Check in and read here. You can do it.

Welcome to SR, Meena -- it's "home" for those of us committed to staying sober, and I look forward to hearing more from you.
...and I second the ice cream recommendation...much tastier than a mouthful of vodka...gack...
Best wishes for you,
Arp

Welcome Meena. Late afternoons and evenings are hard times for me too. Stay close to SR. You'll gain a lot of insight and support from the group. Congratulations on the 1st day of your sobriety.
