Mental breakdown

I am coming off a bender, day 3, and suffering extreme anxiety and dizziness. No food, can't leave the house. I can barely stand. Options?

Water, food, Netflix, curling up in a ball, pray to god. Doctor. All of the above.
Best wishes. Choose recovery.

See a doctor? Sounds like your physical symptoms are keeping you from taking care of your basic needs ( eating, movement? )

Call a friend. Ask him/her to drive you to detox.
Be safe.

Can you take basic vitals? Like your pulse and do you have a BP cuff at home? You could be in danger. Like, real danger.

I would see your doctor for help getting thru withdrawal. I hope you can make a new start out of this. I hope it makes you want to be sober more than you want to drink. Get sober now before something worse happens.

Welcome back! I also joined in 2012, and finally got it right in 2016!

I agree that seeing a doctor is your best bet. They can help you through the initial rough days. What has worked for you in the past? Spend some time reading, and posting on here. You will be able to select pieces of recovery programs that will work for you.

The January class has been a huge support for me. You can join the May class, and even June to find a group of people on the same point in their sobriety journey. You can do this!!!

Hi WL, can you call a friend to come over and keep an eye on you? If things don't improve/get worse, I would get yourself to ER.

Wastinglife, I agree with the others that a doctor appointment or the ER would be a good choice - have someone drive you.

Lots of good advice here.

And, please remember that a dr or hospital is the best way to get your vital signs checked.
