When do you stop becoming a new comer?!
Lol I guess I feel a newcomer coz im still learning yeah i think I'd like to stay humble man, definately I dont ever want to feel like ive "cracked" it because being over complacency can lead to relapse.
AA seems to really embrace those under 30 days and for the right reason, they are the most likely to relapse again.
I still learn a lot from attending those meetings on occasion, I still feel like a newbie. I feel even more like a newbie when they have me run those meetings from time to time. I never know what to say and am ultimately surprised what comes out of my mouth in those meetings.

It depends upon the day and the situation.
No, I don't always feel like a newcomer any longer. However, when I am around some of my friends in NA who have 20-35 years clean... yeah, I feel a bit more like a newcomer. Not in a "less than" sort of way, but these are the guys I go to who have experience with living life clean and with recovery for a long period of time.
I still consider myself to be in early recovery, just the back half of it...

I like coming to the newcomers section as it reminds me how far I've come and the nightmare i'd face if I ever started drinking again. So for me, it doesn't matter how much time I have under my belt, this is the section I like and the section that works for me.
