A distraction may be the key
A distraction may be the key
Many of the supportive responses from people say you should have a "plan" or a distraction for those pivotal times when you usually start looking for your "medicine". This actually is great advice. There are so many thing around the house that I need fixing, or would like fixing. I have decided, rather than hire someone to do them for me while I secretly brink in the back, I'm going to research myself, how to do them. I've also just purchase some old furniture so that I can try the shabby-chic thing. Today I purchased paint, sanding materials and some small tools(don't want to start off too adventurous) but am very excited about dealing with some of these things myself. Nothing that involves electricity or gas though! I'm going to get my daughter involved with the painting so that it is something we do together - the good thing about paint is if you mess it up, you can always re-paint and have more fun in the process!
I'm glad you're keeping busy and occupied
for you, and anyone reading, tho - I think it's important to state a plan is more than distraction, and a list of distractions is not a plan in itself
A plan based solely on keeping busy can fall down in that moment when you have nothing to do.
If you've not read this link I recommend it - you may find some ideas to make your plan even stronger
