Could this just be in my head? ?? The pain the fatigue?

Just got back from I dunno about the 10th doctor over the last 6 months...

I have been having horrible pain under my right rib like a ball or a tennis ball is lodged up there...

A few months ago I got an ultrasound and blood work done everything was ok...

Yesterday the pain was so bad everytime I breathed in I got sharp pains shooting from under my ribs to my chest and occasionally I have been having chest pains...

I was told it was gas and Rx gasx...... and to follow up in a month he did think maybe it was IBS but wanted to see how a month went

So I guess my question after seeing doctors over the last 6 month could this all me in my head?

OR

Do the docs im seeing not understand alocoholism and the effects??

I am super fatigued all the time its almost like it came back full circle and after I poop I am drained I mean 24 hours kinda drained ...I continue to have sharp pain under my rib and fear it is something worse...

the doc yesterday was pretty kool I did have alot of questions and such but i still dont think he really had knowledge on this while thing...

Anyone else out there have side effects for months????

I have taken viccodin a few times has this reset things? I read somehwere how drinking alcohol can reset it I dunno just need some answers...

I just want to feel like me again and im hoping im just coming to the peak of it all.

Anxiety can manifest itself as physical pain.

Have all the ten Drs said more or less the same things to you? gas?

not medical advice, but it SOUNDS as if there may be something wonky in your intestinal tract.

i had had gastric reflux/esophageal spasms so bad i ended up getting a full cardiology work up as it felt as close to a heart attack as i ever hope to get.

speaking ONLY for myself, but when i started taking probiotics a lot of things in my insides got better. you may want to ask your latest doc that seemed the most positive if that would be a possibility?

i'm sorry you've had to go to so MANY doctors and not get a single FIRM diagnosis. but don't give up. i found the sitting position, feet on the floor and kind of hunched over seemed to be the "best" when i was experiencing pains......also lying on our left side is supposed to promote digestion etc.

i hope that doesn't cross the line on advice, apologies to admins if so.

being tense all the time makes me fatigued.

I found breathing exercises helped me - have I given you links on that before?

Have you tried yoga? Stretching? I get those pains but have a sedentary job and don't exercise or stretch enough. The pain under my right ribs stayed for probably a month after I quit drinking but are gone now. I had other side effects that stayed for a couple months. Anxiety causes tenseness that causes pain? I'm still tired after 2.5 months.
Hope things get better for you.

I agree with the yoga suggestion--it helps with stress and pain.

I'm sorry that you're not getting any helpful answers from your drs. But, don't give up.

I'm someone who struggles with anxiety and I know that it can cause a lot of pain and fatigue. I agree with suggestions of yoga, breathing and meditation, which could all help.

Hi - do you mind sharing your gender? My friend had a terrible pain in her side and went to a bunch of different docs - no real answer given - and six months later a doc referred her to an oncologist. It was ovarian cancer quite advanced.
She is alive and well - but now I always think of that when I hear of pain in the side and no real reason.

If you are female I think you could request a blood test for CA 125 levels.
