Dreadful sleep

I'm not sleeping well. I get off to sleep fine and rarely toss and turn, the problem is when I wake up the next day.

I'm totally shattered, very little energy and just want to sleep more, it doesn't seem to change with the amount of hours I get either I pretty much full the same whether I get 5 hours or 15 hours.

I'm starting to feel really dreadful with it, had a headache all day today and just so tired throughout the day, I've nearly fallen asleep s couple of times driving the car.

Horrible feeling like this and it's happening every day.

Does anyone know what this may be or gone through a similar thing?

How long have you been sober Stewy?

My sleep felt like it had nearly disappeared completely in the first 30 - 40 days - but it does return.

perhaps pay attention to 'sleep hygiene', if you aren't already?

try to go to bed around the same time every night, stay away from the TV/computer/smartphone for at least an hour before bed, and spend that time reading.

I've also found supplements to help with sleep: 5-HTP and melatonin.

I also found sleep to come easily if you set a "set" bedtime. I started taking an all natural sleep aide called Alteril, which works better then anything else I have tried. It has melatonin in it, and doesn't make you feel "groggy" the next day like some do.

You're going through some pretty traumatic stuff in your personal life Stewy. Thats got to be a factor here, right?

I second on the Alteril, though I try not to take it all the time. Don't need to be dependent on something else....

Yea, sleep has sucked for a year. I wake up every hour, never have a full night sleep. I hope it gets better.
