Another Hurdle Cleared As of today, I am 83 days sober. And as of yesterday, I am under contract on a house. The stress of the obscenely competitive housing market in Colorado was taking a toll on me. I managed to deal with repeated disappointments in having offers (substantially over list price) rejected without resorting to the bottle. But, I discovered this morning that my whole body was bracing for impact for the last two months. Now that the house hunt has moved into the next phase, I am exhausted from the lack of he normal amount of excessive adrenaline that my body has been producing. And from clenching my body, now that my muscles are relaxed, my ribs feel like they have been stomped in. But, I have gotten to a place where I can rest for a day or two and regroup. |
Congrats on your 83 days!!! And you did it through very stressful situations - !!! Just wanted to say congrats because I understand how hard that must have been. The payoff, of course, is you can hold your head high and feel proud from down deep on the inside. :) |
I'm glad you're under contract now - congrats SH - and on those 83 days :) D |
Congratulations |
That's wonderful news, Sweaty. :) You are doing this. Great job on those hard-earned 83 days. |
Great job! The more hurdles we get over the more it will become second nature to handle situations in a healthy manner instead of turning to drugs and alcohol. Keep up the great work and be extra gentle with yourself these next couple days while you bounce back from such a long stressful time! |
Congratulations on both your sobriety and your potential new home x |
Congrats on 83 days sober! :scoregood Stay sober, it gets better. :) |
