Hey all ,
ken gave me the wheel this weekend , lots work to do or something .
So this is your metaphorical weekend bus.
The idea is tangental support, you don't have to say anything, though some do.. just say "i'm in" and your in
sometimes in sobriety we find we've got nothing to say thats fine just let us know your ok .
Our plan is to muddle through as best we can until monday , describe what a sober weekend means to us , share some ideas , offer each other hope and support .
It's for the newbies or people still struggling with the sobriety idea just to join in and get the feel of how sober weekend can be.

I'm in, troops. Dunno about all this gun metaphor (humpph!), but s'pose we need some kind of starting signal. Must be the only weekend around the planet that starts in about six different time zones! It's good for my ageing synapses.
Just been down the local beach with Madam Bess: wild westerly wind straight off Port Philip Bay, walking almost horizontally, lots of terrific thumping great heavy inky clouds making it dark at barely 4.30 pm. Lovely.

The time zone thing :- The idea for a thurs start was for our kiwi and auzzy friends to be able to plan for the Friday witching hours before they went about their friday mornings .
I found going to the supermarket thursday evening better than friday evening , i was more in control so thought it'd be useful to help new people plan ahead .
We know dissatisfaction and craving will probably hit , so may as well plan for the eventuality by stocking up on bubble bath , floor cleaner , ice cream the evening before when we're slightly more sane .

Did someone say floor cleaner? Some people like those adult colouring books, I find mopping the floors until I can see my reflection a nice, meditative activity. I even splurged last week on a super deluxe brand. Mop mop mop. Happy weekend all, whether it be ice cream or floor cleaner, candies or colouring books, make it a sober one.

IN! I don't get to ride much. I was always a front seat rider. I like right behind the driver or the seat across the isle. Something about my ever so careful nature drives me to find the "safest" spot for everything I do. That also could be a bit a psychosis as well. But I digress....
Thank you Mr. M for taking the wheel. I had forgotten that you drive on the wrong side.... How about everyone share what side of the road you drive on natively. And have you ever driven on the other side? What was that like? Right side here (not as in correct) and never had to do the left. Don't think I could very well.
Welcome to the new folks!!!! This thread is about some people who have had some success in living sober share and be there for each of thos newer and wanting a sober weekend. This is possible. You can stay sober Friday - Monday. And arrive bright at the new weeks beginning.
I have a lot to do at work. It's been intense mentally. I just asked Mex to do it this week. I did it for over a year straight. I think Mex did it back in April 2015 last so good to see you driving again!
OK. See you all soon. I can come and move from seat to seat for a more personal ride this week.

Good morning friends! Weather to be super warm in Vermont today 75 to 80 degrees....this is big for us....it will be back in the 50s by Monday with a few snowflakes in the mountains. No wonder I have seasonal affective disorder! I'm going to work on staying positive this weekend
