WEEKENDER 14th -15th of may 2016 all welcome
I'll join in. So long ad I can nab two seats together, so I can stretch out and sleep; this week has been busy!
Only plan so far is to meet friends for dinner out on Friday. It was planned a while ago. I'm doing the designated driver thing and am feeling good about it. I feel like I'm getting back in to sobriety.

I'm in! My day one was last friday, so this will be my second weekend. Last Saturday I got antsy and had to go on an hour long run at 8pm to put up the fight. This weekend we have wholesome kid friendly things planned, but still have to get through hubs bday dinner. Let's do this!
Hi GS!
Welcome new riders!
Counting down the minutes till lunchtime although technically I can leave whenever I want. I just don't want my boss to think I'm taking advantage of his good nature.

Welcome to Weekenders Eagle 108, Beflossy and Flossyteacake
Home time! Fun day today - I was posted some dimensions which didn't seem to make sense, checked with client who assured me they are correct. I hour later i get a call saying that the measurements for one location are in Imperial (Feet, Inches) while the other location in SI (millimetres)
How did we ever once run an empire?
Shoreditch - Longitude 0.042' West ( technically not a Country I know but it used to be known as the Peoples Republic of Shoreditch). My morning runs are hemisphere crossing affairs sometimes
Ghana is on the prime meridian. Bizarrely, despite being a few degrees from the equator, they too observe summer time or at least they still did in the 1980's. But wait, it was a trick question from LB
Venecia, I did what you suggested (ages ago) and got myself some good sunglasses to pose in the Lancia

Unlike Behan's neck of the woods, it is NOT sunny here today. It's noon and looks like night. I don't know about this baseball game this evening. At least it's warm outside. Weird weather.
I just ate most of a bag of wasabi/soy flavored potato chips and they are awesome. Who knew?
I also just read that the government of China is banning live video streaming of erotic fruit eating. So get those ideas out of your head for making a quick buck.

Thread's truckin' right along today. I saw Page 1 in the wee Pacific Time Zone Hours this morning, but I figger I already gots Shotgun long ago. You always remember your first time.
Good explanation on Time Zones, LBrain. I know there's some Time Offsets of a 1/2 hour in a few places - South America, for one - so I ran into that rarely when trying to get back to a Customer same day for some Tech Discussion. Among my other Geek Moments was standing in the Courtyard of Greenwich Observatory on the Thames while straddling the Prime Meridian. It's moved over the Centuries as measurements got more accurate. Kewlio stuff...
My Geek Moment this Morning was getting a quite-large Trucker's Cellular Antenna mounted up on the top of the Trailer Roof Ladder. Along with a max power 3 Watt Cellular Amp I bought, I'm blasting our Phones/PC Signal Helen Gone into Town a few Miles North to a 'stubby' Cellular Tower I spied up there. Pretty sparse Cell Signal here in the Cedars & Redwoods. Park WiFi speed is mediocre as Geezers in RV Buses roll in and consume Bandwidth. The RV Park Owner stopped this morning while I walked MesaDog, and wanted to BS about Colorado. I complimented him repeatedly on really whippin' this Property into shape. He bought this run-down Property 17 Years at age 61. Impressive Gent with a vision.
Now, I can check out Google Earth Images at high speed via 4G Cellular Signal, and plot our wanderings of today. This Thread reminded me it's time to break out the decent Canon Digital Camera to snag some better Pix.
Mebbe down the Coast today to the namesake Town in the Song linked below. A Pal did a Texas/Deep South Tour with his Beatles Cover Band. They once opened for Sir Douglas Quintet. He said the Band screeched up in a small RV; Awning flapping. They all poured out - absolutely Hammered - and played a helluva Bar Set of all their Hits. Hopped back into the RV, and disappeared into the Night. A real Spinal Tap moment for them, apparently.

A Birthday today for Faces Keys Man, and all-around Good Gent Ian McLagan. Hear his Bump Band back Bonnie on this Dave Edmunds' Tune. Good Cruisin' Music as we depart for another Lighthouse destination.
- 'Me & The Boys' ~ Bonnie Raitt ~ Live -
- Remembering Ian McLagan ~ Rolling Stone Mag -
And now, that hilarious Pic from The Olden Days. It's a smaller Pic here in the Pacific Time Zone.
I landed in Glascow one Trip about 6 A.M., and rented a Car to go fetch MesaMate, and our Luggage. In my initial adjustment to repeating some 'wrong side' Driving, I momentarily drove over the line at slow speed on a Ring Road around the Airport. I promptly caught myself, and corrected. Without him being anywhere near, or in harm, so bee_zarre Do Gooder proceeded to 'chase' me around the Ring Road while honking his Horn. I was checking out safe, populated places to pull into - like a busy Gas Station - to confront him. He finally gave it a rest, and took off.
Just another bored Weirdo, I take it; torqued-off by my moment of Jet Lag...

Mesa, at least the guy drove off to be angry with someone else. Britain's foremost comic novelist P G Wodehouse once wrote "It has never been hard to tell the difference between a Scotsman with a grievance and a ray of sunshine"
