WEEKENDER 14th -15th of may 2016 all welcome
Hi guys...no time to catch up. Internet technician is coming to the house tomorrow.
Jsbohi...sounds like you are having a rough time. Please take care of yourself and stay with us. We are here for you and we love you.
Nice to see new people here....welcome newcomers!
I'm watching an Irish movie about a boy with an alcoholic mother. I think it's called Glassblow...or something like that. Slow, but interesting.
Ok...enough for phone Internet, although thank goodness I have that

ChickenLady, BeBrave, Simplicity -- it's great to have new friends here! Welcome! Don't worry if you're feeling all over the place in early sobriety. For me, sheer exhaustion seemed to be my constant companion. Felt like I was glued to the mattress when it was time to get up and go to work.
It gets better.
I'm so glad you're here.
It gets better.
I'm so glad you're here.
An observation: We become very invested in one another's well being because we care about each other.
It's good to have people who have come to care about one another this way. We're always there to lean on each other. I'm glad to be here for you. Someday, I may need everyone here; that's the way it is for folks like us. It's good to know there are people who would have my back.
And, everyday, it's good to be here with all of you, walking alongside you in good times and tough ones.

Very well said, Ven. I'm always grateful for my friends here. My friends IRL are great, but they just don't "get it" like my friends here do. Well my SOBER friends IRL do, but you know what I mean. And I just don't have many sober friends.

Hi, weekenders!
Today is my Birthday - 4th BDay I am celebrating sober and with SR. In these years it proved to be the best company. So , I am with you today.
I am also going to spend the fair part of my day at our local boxing tournament. I am not competing, but the guys decided I will be a ring announcer. Ok. We'll see how I'll cope with it.
So I bought a new dress myself yesterday - it's been like ages since I bought myself new clothes other than is second-hand shop. I got so out of practice that was all worried)
What a great way to spend the day.
Back in my drinking days I would start with a hope that Bday itself will do the magic of putting me in the right mood, and end up with going for another bottle of champaigne to attend to my pity party. Seems like another Universe now .
Though I am getting a little bit scared of my age - I am hitting 39 today - mostly outlook for life is positive.
Also belated Birthday congrats to MesaMan - my "Bday Neighbour")))
My hugs to all.
Have a great weekend!
