Things are happening FAST.
I haven't posted at all recently. As many of you know I have spent the last year making a life transition, and doing a lot of waiting for the right time. That time came last week to start making stuff happen. I have taken control of some situations that have lingered and been neglected. For example, we upgraded our computers, printers, phones, cable TV, internet service etc....all things that were outdated and we were paying too much for service so I did a complete overhaul and actually came out ahead financially. Insurances have been negotiated, new roof and siding coming...all things I had put on the back burner. I started sending out resumes and making phone calls.
I have been very encouraged with response. I've had 2 interviews this week and 3 more before end of week. Two next week. I bought a couple new suits so I look snazzy, and the resume is precise and thorough as can be.
The upside to all of this, have not thought about drinking at all (not that I did "too much" before). I think I'm going to make it and land on my feet after this whole mess that has been my life for the last year.

Wishing you the best Jeff
That being said your Derby meltdown was very recent - be careful not to pile too much on yourself and stress yourself out, or try to bury your addiction under a mountain of stuff, cos addiction monsters are very resilient
I've no doubt given this to you before - but I hope you'll look at it again.

I know you're doing well and feeling great right now - this is the best time to think about a recovery plan

Thank you everyone.
I would like to add for newcomers or anyone struggling. It may sound crazy, but I really believe that when you speak to people either on the phone or in person, they sense whether or not you may have some issues going on in your life. Without alcohol in your life, the clarity in which your brain operates is very strong, I believe people pick up on that.
For me personally, I feel much more confident in speaking with people because I'm not distracted by how drunk I was the previous weekend. I'm clearly focused on the task at hand. I believe that can happen for everyone.
A very disorganized construction company cancelled their interview today, so I will be around. Its ok, 2 interviews tomorrow.

This is absolutely my experience, too. Best of luck. ((((Jeff))))
