What??
I know it's hard when you're married, but when it comes to this issue, consider yourself the expert on you. What your husband thinks of your desire to get well and healthy is not the bottom line. You don't need to sell HIM on it, only yourself.
Can you take your husband to an AA meeting with you? Maybe if he chats with someone else, he'll get a different perspective.
My husband did not help me get sober. I asked him often for help - even just for an evening to help me stay sober. But he didn't and I'll never understand not supporting your spouse.
An ER Dr. sent me to a 4 day rehab. I was furious but it was the best thing that ever happened. I got the help I needed. Maybe, as others have suggested, that might be an option for you.
