Lightning Bug

Sometimes I would leave work early to go home and drink. The cravings hit me about 3. I would get home at four, uncork the wine and be a slobbering mess by 5 PM. Husband would lock up my keys and coerce me into bed. This kind of living is a waste. I have wasted so many evenings that I could have spent with my kids or husband. Or even just with myself.

I am glad I woke up. Today at three I got a craving but it wasn't for wine. It was for a juicy hamburger. We are going to grill tonight to satisfy that craving. Can't wait!

Well done on day 9 Bug. I used to leave early from work to start drinking too... that is until I started drinking at work and in the mornings.

So glad not to be there any more!!!

Well congratulations! I had gotten to the point where I would have a glass or two before work. Then take the long way around home from work so that no one who worked with me would see me stopping at the liquor store. I would get at least four shots of vodka for the ride they would be gone before I could travel 25 miles. I would make sure to get rid of the bottles on the ride. Then as I got close to home, I would stop again and get a bottle of wine which would be gone before the end of the night. Thank God those days are over! Again congratulations and keep up the good work.
