Day 11 !
11 days marks the 2nd longest period that I've been sober in over 10 years!
This time around... I am making staying sober the first priority in my life.. Nothing is more important for me and my family.
What is working for me? For one thing I have been walking nearly every day..... I am lucky to have a real nice park/trail near my house and I walk for 45-60 minutes. Spring in North Carolina is very pretty.... As I'm sure Spring everywhere is.... But I love the mornings when everything is "waking up" ... birds are singing and the cool air. Being by myself, no cell phone or anything.. Just me and my walking shoes. I can think, dream, talk to myself a bit.... Get ready for the day! When I am done, I have the feeling that I have accomplished something.
Anyways, I thought I'd share this with others....... If you are in a funk or feeling blah. Get out in nature for a few minutes and breath the air.

Made it through today... Now the home stretch.
As we know evenings are a little tougher ... But I'm in charge of dinner since I'm home before my wife.... So that will keep me busy.. Although, I would usually enjoy a glass on wine while preparing things. But think I'll grab a Diet Dr Pepper instead.
11 days .... Very proud of myself at the moment.
