Feel today

Sorry that's all I have to share. I'm gassy and my head feels like it's stuffed with more than brain. I slept close to 10 hours in two shifts and my CPAP mask left a bump under one ear. But hey, I'm breathing.

There are ups and downs in life with or without alcohol. The key to success is not running for a drink every time we have a little difficulty. Stay strong!

The forums of SR are open to and geared towards users of all ages so there are automatic language features in place to keep things all-age appropriate. It's also recommended to not use close spellings of said words in an attempt to circumvent the filter.

There may be children here, or somebody may be viewing the forum in a public place.

I hope you know "The Serenity Prayer." Part of it is "accept the things we cannot change." It does not say "circumvent any way possible the things we cannot change."

Noooo not chastened. There are just rules and you're simply being made aware. Don't take it personally It was a good reminder for me because I often forget...rebel that I am.

Sorry you're feeling crappy. Day 12 or 13 right?

I'm going to let you in on a secret. This is the longest-running thread on SoberRecovery:

I hope tomorrow is a better day for you
The good thing about recovery for me is I still have bad days, but they don't turn into bad weeks or bad months now

My worst days sober are still usually better than my best days drunk. Sorry yours sucked but I hope you at least gain some satisfaction from knowing you're gaining a measure of control over your life.

Don't underestimate that idea- control. To me at least is was a sinking, demoralizing feeling to know that no matter how low the hangover brought me I'd be headed to the liquor store later that night. Man, that really made me hate myself.
