I only made it 6 days
I drank last night, I feel guilt and that I am such a fool. Doctor says I need to stop because of Neuropathy in feet. I have been a heavy drinker for over 40 years. When my alcoholic mind has the desire I cant seem to stop it. The only thing I forgot yesterday was my daily mediation. Feeling low right now , and out of control..thanks for listening
eyeball - you need to put a plan together to help you stay accountable. You may want to also learn a set of coping skills for when you are in a situation that makes you want to drink.
Check in here as often as needed as well for some great support.

Feeling like or wanting a drink doesn't mean you haven't quit or even that you don't want to quit.
You are going to feel like or want a drink until you don't and one of the biggest components in that is time from our last drink. Accept that those feelings may be present even constant in the very early goings and push through. They are just feelings, cravings they will pass , you can ride them out. They are uncomfortable , but 'get throughable' , the feelings of guilt and shame aren't just uncomfortable , they hurt they do lasting damage. The best news is they are avoidable , rootin for ya

Don't beat yourself up....I had a very shameful night last night myself. We need to forgive ourselves and try to view the root cause of the drinking without judgement. One day at a time....just focus on staying sober one day at a time. The reward is in how much better you're going to feel each morning. When you get that craving, acknowledge it without judgement and remember what you really want.
You know that you can do it because you went 6 days sober.
I lost many a good amount of sober time.
But, it does tell us that we can do it again.
That's a long time drinking -- you remind me of me.
Yes, best we put the plug in the jug.
Please start your sobriety over and keep in close touch with us,
