congrats on the year GS!!!!!
got back from my first mulch run, dropped off most of the stuff collected from the yard yesterday and picked up two tubs of mostly pine mulch...
stopped on the way back and looked at the stream... it beckons...
and as I was coming up to the ranch this song came on the box, from Willie's 16 greatest hits... it is now uploaded in the jeep
it may not be funky, but it's Texasy,
and it reminds me of me somehow...

Congratulations on a year, gettingsmarter! That is a wonderful accomplishment! So inspiring! I'm glad you're here!
I have an errand to run, to go talk to a guy that would like me to do a little freelance hands on deck work for a new restaurant he's opening... If I can make it work with the other job, I will. I love opening new places, forming the teams, training, getting everything organized, nailing the recipes, etc etc. Good stuff.
I wouldn't be getting these offers if I wasn't sober, I have to remember to never take that for granted.
I had a crunchy moment last night when the warm rain and the thought of the taste of whisky and some cigarettes started to sound like a really nice combo. Eeeep! I told on myself in my meeting but it was stupid the thought even came up. Stupid drinking. Not falling for that crap. I don't drink alcohol. That's all there is to it.

Lovely day outside. Temperature got up to 14 degrees today. Or as you say in America and Canada, 57.2.
That Republic of Texas plaque was just fascinating. Just had a brief skim of the history of Texas. Want to go there now.

well it looks like fishing today is just out of the question... maybe...
great Waylon tune, willie and waylon on the same page!
my seestor sent me some CD's out of the blue, one of them was a collection of Hank Williams tunes done by modern artists... good stuff, and also a collection of sun records recordings modernized but not overly modernized. done in the same tradition as the originals, P McCartney does one as do other big names...
well lunch is complete... note to self, you are out of vitamin water and soft drinks... had my last dragon fruit V water with lunch...
lots of good tunes, well, I really liked the 'video' of funky town, not quite as good as nancy sinatra's video, but entertaining at least...
bet she thought she had the moves...
oh, B - Canada is also on the dopey decimal system, hmmmm good trivia question - name the countries that do not use the decimal system, you'd be surprised where they are located... youdda never thunk it...

Busy day at work which is good! Running errands at lunch and can't decide what to eat. I'm HUNGRY but don't have a taste for anything in particular. Eating is such a hassle lol!
