I hope this isn't ridiculous

Was reading a (silly) magazine earlier and in it there was an article about 'the only times you should warn someone about him' is when, 'he is an abuser, he has a prison record, he is a fraud or he is an addict..'

I know it shouldn't have bothered me the way it did but right now I am feeling like so much less of a person because of my alcohol addiction :( seeing that just made me sad, got me off guard. It hurt.

Just venting. Anyway, after a long day going to bed sober, so that is all that matters. Goodnight everyone.

I'd say you are more of a person for admitting a fault and trying to do something to change the fault and better yourself.

Many people do not have the strength to even admit something about themselves, let alone stand up and do something about it.

You are going to bed sober and you are awesome. Sleep well.

Stop drinking and you'll be better off. Besides that many I have met even back when dating would reveal that they no longer drank or were even involved in AA, before I ever said a word.

Besides most people have respect for someone who quit their addiction.
