newbie

Posting here for the first time. Just wanted to see how my body will react to not filling it with two bottles of wine a day. Blood pressure spikes, irritability, trouble sleeping etc. phaeton
Thank you

Welcome to the family from a fellow Buckeye. :) I was a wino too. Gave it up for good over six years ago. Best thing I ever did for myself. :)

I hope our support can help you get sober for good. :)

You should be feeling on top of the world in short time. A couple of bottles of wine a day is not that extreme.

Are those what you experienced drinking or since you stopped? How ya doin'?

Hey phaeton :)
I have been addicted to many things over the years - but wine just stayed with me, slowly poisoning me for years!
Just like you - 1 / 2 bottles daily - sometimes more.
I have only been sober for 10 days and I'm not going to sugarcoat it - it hasn't been easy!
But if you want to try and stay sober then SR is the best place for you - for support and the information you need to understand your addiction.
Good luck and keep posting x

Glad to meet you, phaeton. If you're worried about how your body will react to withdrawing maybe you can check with your doctor? It can be dangerous to stop abruptly. I had blood pressure spikes - but I was drinking way more than you when I quit.

We're glad you found us - I hope you'll continue to post & let us know how you're doing.
