Bite your nails and eat some ice cream tigerlily....think of how you'd feel if you drank. Lousy night sleep, waking up tomorrow feeling horrible. ..ugh, not worth the brief relief you'd feel before it turned sour. Better to feel proud of yourself that you resisted the urge.

Took me forever to catch up with you guys and now you're probably all asleep.
Weasel. ..your chicken looked heavenly. Mine was too, I must say. One of these years I'll figure out how to post a photo. ....I feel very lazy about that.
I did an outside activity tonight aND froze ...had to come home and drink hot chocolate.
Ok...time to get to sleep.

Thanks brynn and happyandfree. It seems a long time to bed time. Lots of time to give in to temptation despite knowing exactly how it will end.
I think I will go for a walk on the beach and then check in when I'm back.

A walk on the beach sounds fabulous, TigerLili. A nice way to cap off the weekend.
I'm laying in bed and everyone else is asleep. It's been lovely catching up with my cousins. They're all great. At least, the ones that are here. We went out for dinner and then came back, talked, played a game. Bed.
SUID, I have a hard time on weekends. I think along what Marty said. I have these expectations and they don't measure up. All this stuff I want to get done and then don't. Blah. Weekdays are easier because they're far more structured.
I have to remember to call my old roommate. She moved back here from Seattle and I haven't seen her in years but keep in touch. Try to have coffee with her tomorrow.

Dear ole Mom and her Sister flew down to Oz kinda late in Life. They went on fairly-structured Tours and Outings.
One such Event was to take a Helicopter Tour over The Great Barrier Reef.
We asked her later how she liked it. A: 'Well, it was OK. But, you can't see much because it's all Underwater'! Family on the Floor, howling! That Story had Legs...

Welcome to Weekenders ananda, caught your post on the the old thread
SUID the Weekend often highlights loneliness for those of us who live alone (it does me anyway). Knowing that we are not alone in being alone, thru things like this excellent thread helps

Freezing this morning in London (well a groundfrost anyway) The upside is a beautiful clear sky. My usual "on ramp" to the Canal was taped off this morning but it least it doesn't appear to be police tape

It's 3.45pm and I'm back from my walk.
I'm anxious about how the evening will go. My mind tells me that I might as well cave and have a drink NOW because I'll cave anyway eventually.
I'm going to sit here and do some work on a website I'm working on and think about what to do for dinner. I'm hungry already. I was going to get in my car and get take out but it might be safer to have something delivered so I don't stop by the liquor store on my way.

Cooking would often take my mind of thoughts of drinking TigerLili as would anything web related so way to go, you can do this
