Hi kittens
I never post on here although I've been a member for a long while. Sober for a year also. But your post about your dog being in pain angered me.
Please if you can afford wine bottle after wine bottle, you can afford an emergency vet clinic for some pain medicine for your dog, for the weekend!
Pour it out, get sober, take your dog for some medical help!!!
I hope you feel better soon.

Here is a link to a nationwide network of animal hospitals, through which you can search for emergency services that are open on nights and weekends.

Please get help for your dog now. Another option is to call the local affiliate of the Humane Society. I googled humane society for my area and found that they have emergency services, too.
You have internet access and appear to have the resources to locate alcohol. Please be resourceful on behalf of your innocent dog and get him the help he desperately needs.

DD, I was just about to check out of SR for a while as I take off for rehab today, but your post made me want to say something. I agree with the posters above me. If you don't want to go out to the vet with your dog, there must also be vets you could call to your home out of hours and on weekends! You say you are sad about the dog that you raised and lived with for so many years. It's the minimum level of responsibility not to let him suffer like that just because it's weekend and you are intoxicated. Please get help asap, both for your pet and for yourself.
