My day was hectic, but great. Did a lot of good things today.

My day has been good so far. It's warm enough for a long beach walk and then I spent time sorting through books and getting ready to donate some. It always feels good to de-clutter.

My day has been pretty solid. Finishing up a few things at work and then headed to my hone group meeting tonight.

In all honesty SW I'm kind of down today. I have a bout of gout which is supposed to get better when not drinking. To make matters worse the wonderful politics in the US have made a dirt cheap gout medication ridiculously expensive. Like it used to be US$15 and my pharmacy now wants $1,100. And, yes,I did get those numbers correct. It's no wonder health care costs are so out of control here.

Blustery, cold and a bit of a downer, but it's day 102 and going strong. Ran three miles on the treadmill and had a 20-minute sauna, so at least there's that.

We control the things we can, right?

First day without cigarettes for many a year! Will get to bed tonight without lighting up, on account of the fact that I don't have any! Very mildly positive that I might be able to do this.

Pretty lousy day today. Almost lost it at work. Just kept looking at the time and trying to ignore everything around me. 2:00 came and I was in my car and gone in 5 minutes. The thought of drinking crossed my mind, but I promised myself that I would never drink over a bad day at work. Last time I did that I threw away two weeks. So instead, went to Subway, picked up a foot-long meatball sandwich with everything on it and went home. Will treat myself to a movie tomorrow. John

Uneventful but pretty good. No dog walk tho as it rained all day. But it's better than snow.

My day has been overall good. Couple more hours left to work then I shall sleep and wake up happy knowing I am staying sober!
