Hi everyone, I'm Shan I'm 28 I've been struggling with addiction, depression and anxiety since I was about 13. I'm currently on MMT tapering off and looking for more support and resources I have a hard time in group settings because of my anxiety and panic attacks so I don't like going to AA or NA. And I thought maybe where this is online and not face to face it might be easier for me also NA and AA have never seemed like a good fit for me I have nothing against it it just doesn't work for me. I've been on the clinic for a little over a year now and I feel it's time to get off and I need to build a support system so I don't ever go back to using. I guess I'm just checking this out seeing what it's like and what it's about. Any input and recommendations will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Shane Welcome to SR. I'm still relatively new here but have received a lot of Support and Encouragement. Since I joined in Feb. Even on days I do not post I make a habit of reading others. I hope it helps you as it have me. Btw I too suffer from Anxiety and at times Depression We Are Not Alone, nor do We Have To Be and Difinantly.... Don't Need To Be !

I personally don't have any experience with MMT (Methadone Maintenance Treatment) but others will.
