A successful day
I remind myself that if the only thing I accomplish today is sobriety then my day has been a success. I tend to put a lot of mental and emotional stress on myself. I should feel this way or I should being doing that thing . . . and then self sabotage But then I remind myself that today is a success because I'm sober. I have a sigh of relief that the other stress is not important that today sobriety is. Hope this makes sense.
Yep. I like to set daily goals for myself, but I have to step back sometimes and remember that goal #1 is always "Stay Sober." That's the only one that really matters. Meeting all those other goals is just icing on the cake.

Good work BoPuppy. I find posting a daily gratitude list helps me to focus on the positives from the day, what has gone well and what I have achieved. Wishing you well on the rest of your recovery journey x
