I can't /won't drink
I think "I don't drink" is much more empowering than "I can't drink." The first sounds like a choice; the second sounds like a deprivation. It also leaves some wiggle room, whereas by saying "I don't drink" you define yourself as a non-drinker. Otherwise you sound like you're on a diet, lol.

I can't drink cause the wife says so. Are there times I could go for one (or 20)? sure. Then I remember how much it sucked so I won't. Not very intellectual, I know but it is what it is.

I DON'T drink. Since I quit alcohol I started a daily fitness routine and drinking would suddenly halt all the progress I've made. I would never forgive myself if I were to start drinking again. Before I couldn't imagine a life without booze but now I can't imagine life WITH booze
