I think "I don't drink" is much more empowering than "I can't drink." The first sounds like a choice; the second sounds like a deprivation. It also leaves some wiggle room, whereas by saying "I don't drink" you define yourself as a non-drinker. Otherwise you sound like you're on a diet, lol.

Can't and won't. It is just not an option. I structure my life accordingly whereas before I structured my life so that I COULD drink.

My problem was I don't drink until I do. Hey if saying Rumpelstiltskin repeatedly keeps us sober it is as good a way as any

I can't drink cause the wife says so. Are there times I could go for one (or 20)? sure. Then I remember how much it sucked so I won't. Not very intellectual, I know but it is what it is.
I'd vote for Dee for president. I'd vote for anyone on this forum over the current choices, sober or not.

I appreciated the joke about me being POTUS, but I really think it's best we leave politics out of this thread, guys

I DON'T drink. Since I quit alcohol I started a daily fitness routine and drinking would suddenly halt all the progress I've made. I would never forgive myself if I were to start drinking again. Before I couldn't imagine a life without booze but now I can't imagine life WITH booze
