Today...
 

Has been a day like any other. Gym, work chaos, home chaos, homework with kids, a little time on my puzzle, dishes done... Kids playing and the dog wants to cuddle by laying on my chest (and she isn't a lap dog)...

Today was a return to more of the every day norm of life... Refocus on the challenges of the career path I'm striving for.

Today was also a return to thoughts of springtime, my mother's upcoming birthday and how my brother and I will meet and celebrate her day for the second time since her passing... Thoughts of all of the lasts that were had over the coming six weeks... My kids birthdays, our wedding anniversary.... Taking children to see her for the last time... Mother's Day. I'm coming up on a chaotic yet always bittersweet season of both celebration and remembrance.

Today was a day like every other day... And today was a wonderful day.
