If this is your day one, CONGRATULATIONS!
You have made the best decision of your entire life so far. Sober recovery, this journey that you are just beginning, and the simple affirmation, "None for me today" will be life changing.
That's it! Just take it one day, one hour, one second at a time.
If you woke up this morning, and said today is day one. You just have to get through today, and go to bed sober. When you wake up sober tomorrow morning, and say "None for me today, day 2", you are already a different person.
You can build a wall, it's not as daunting as you think, if you just lay down one brick, then another, then another.
