I just confided in

A woman I just met that I quit drinking. She was talking about wanting to quit smoking and somehow I just kind of blurted it out and some of he approach that is working for me.

I didn't see that coming...

What was her response?

Not much - we chatted a bit but it wasn't really weird. I first mentioned I previously quit smoking.

I think sometimes we just need to open up and share with others. It's good for us and may also be good for them.

She did seem slightly taken aback - but not in a bad way. She commented about one glass being fine for her. I didn't elaborate a whole lot about me but explained that in this journey the one day at a time was really helping me, kind of to share my experience and how that my hope with stopping smoking. But I'm not sure she made the correlation. I had said before that that it comes down to wanting to quit more than you want to do it - period.
