Didn't think that through

At dinner with a friend last night I attempted to casually elude to not drinking anymore. Well of course she asked why ... Except her very first suspicion was wide eyes and saying "are you pregnant?!" She didn't believe me in the first round and asked again.

It honestly never occurred to me that folks would jump to that conclusion but it makes perfect sense.

I did go on to explain that I've basically decided that moderating isn't a strength of mine and that I was drinking too much so I decided to stop altogether so it didn't seem all that big a deal and she didn't push the issue.

And no... I'm not pregnant, just for the record 😄

Oh, yes- in the past 10 plus months I haven't been drinking, I've been asked several times as well!

A guest at our Xmas party asked how many weeks along I was....doesn't say much for my drinking reputation, or my waistline for that matter!

Back when I drank a lot of beer the question would come up often. But I'm a guy so I think they were just being offensive.

Everyone I know are cheering now that I've stopped. It was a bit messy.
