Good luck to your boy, Marty! Like others here, I think he sounds like one great kid. He's got a great mom.

Woke up with a killer headache! That hasn't happened in a while and it seriously sucks! So much for sleeping in. Had a late dinner with a few friends last night and realized that one of them is pretty much a chronic liar. And not about big stuff either! Just stupid little things that don't matter. Just another little irritant to grate my nerves!

Jen...I've not had candida, but I know if you quit now it's harder to get rid of the second time around. Push through the symptoms and you'll be glad you did!

Good luck to your son, Marty! Keep us updated!
Xo

That's what I was told too Brynn, if I quit now, I'm making it worse because it'll adapt to what I've been doing. Xoxo

Sorry to hear about your friend, that's really frustrating

Ok, I'm going to work, I actually feel kinda decent this morning :/
Maybe all the whining and wingeing helped

Hey Jen ~

I looked at few Sites just now, since I don't Apple. MesaMate does. See below a simple way to size Pix w/o a 3rd Party App. Resizing a Pic to 640x [one of the Options below] before posting here would be a good compromise that doesn't blow out the right side of this Webpage for everyone.

'...the Mail app on iPhone iPad has the built-in feature to resize or scale photos'.

- How To Resize iPad & iPhone Pix -

The Pic below I just took was resized to 800x at the 3rd Party Site 'Tiny Pic'. I resize to 640x for some Pix; especially anything vertical. Otherwise, it hogs too much Page space, IMO. Jez me... That said, whatever size your stupendous Forest Hike Pic was sho worked! Took a Viewer right to the Trail spot...

A gorgeous and Sunny temp of 62 F [17 C] forecast for today. It was 26 F [-3 C] this Morning with a Head-snapping Breeze going that died down. Stunning, clear Skies last night that put all the Galaxies and Planets in yo Face. 70 F [21 C] by Monday. It sho was nice last night to stroll outside to the grilling Salmon w/o Jacket req'd. And, to have the Sun up so 'late'.

Today, various Chores around MesaVille. Pick a Chore, any Chore. I gotta scan and send our Tax Gal the Closing Docs for our City House sale last July. We can write off Taxes paid, apparently. We file and sign electronically. No muss. No fuss [or need to sign Tax Returns in the Carbon-based World]. Then, we'll likely take out MesaDog to Fed Land nearby [pretty much the entire Pic background below] and let him roar around. Your Tax Dollars at work.

Corker of a day here so far

Not sure who built the Pagoda Bigsomb but it is a Chinese restaurant now (overpriced but a good place to impress a girl IMO)

Had some Moroccan food lunchtime which reminds me to ask Weasel - do you add Tamarind paste to your beef paenang? If not I highly recommend it

Your son sounds like a smart guy Marty, quantum physics are a real brain scrambler

For our Resident Foodies...

- Raindrop Cake -

Reminds me of playing with blobs of Mercury when we were Kids.

What's being advertised on find your magic....cologne? The ad just doesn't seem to fit with the neighborhood lol!

I already need to regroup! The only good thing that's happened so far today is I actually found my contact in the floor! If you wear contacts you'll know what an awesome accomplishment this is! My contact popped out this morning and I didnt even realize it for awhile then all I could think of is I'll have to order more contacts early and there goes the budget!!

The raindrop cake is an abomination. That's not food, much less "cake."

Good morning enders.

I slept in late, that was nice, but I woke up with a sore throat and swollen tonsil.

Have a safe trip MLD, your son sounds truly awesome. You did a great job raising him.

Have a great day everyone.

"Morning" all, though it is nearly noon here. I've had a sloooow start. Thinking about food and then yard work.

Marty's son...what a great kid.

Although I've caught up reading, my ST memory is really, well...short. So I have no other comments other than to say I enjoyed the thread with my coffee!

To wake up knowing I didnt pass out. And I slept well. My favorite part of the day

Nice one Jade

That rainbow cake looks like something Heston Blumenthal might have concocted

Had to google Heston.

The raindrop cake reminds me of those calorie free noodles. I tried them once. They were kind of nasty and they just made me hungrier.

Grilling this afternoon at this house. Turkey burgers. Making a macaroni salad to go with.

Good afternoon everyone. Wow. Day's flying by. I slept in a tiny bit later than usual. Grocery shopping on the agenda today. Thinking of things to make for meals.

Certainly not raindrop cake. Gelatinous blob, anyone?

Sao, your daughter sells vintage, right? I'd love to check it out.

My mother in law keeps calling the house. I'm trying to make a shopping list. Weather is very windy. Cold. I woke up to light snow. Then it was tiny shards of frozen rain. Not hail. Oops. Seeing snow again.

Brynn, what a drag about the lying. It makes no sense. I ran into a woman after an AA breakfast two weeks ago who was telling me that her mother died. Dropped over dead at an uncle's wake. I ran into her sister at an AA meeting who said Mom is doing OK but adjusting to her recent diagnosis of cancer. So the one sister lied about mom dying. For what reason? Strange.

Ven, enjoy the exhibit. Sounds really cool. I love photography. I'll inflict more of my work on you all

While out and about. This appears to be a gallery but no signage. It's in an area of Chicago,Pilsen, that went from Czech to Mexican to now gentrifying after artists came for cheaper rents.
