So, I kind of think I already made my decision but need some quick thoughts.

My sister is a drug addict, homeless, gave up her kids, very sad and hard case.

She has no food, I'm gonna get her to a food bank tomorrow. BUT, I'm thinking for now, I'm going to have her "ride" drop her off here at my office and I'll have her clean my office in exchange for taking her to get some groceries....

Is that okay? I'm not giving her money and she relies on people to just giver her things, so I thought this is an okay trade?

Oh, she says she's been clean a few days.... I won't let her come here if she isn't, she knows this.

Sounds ok to me. I think it's very kind of you to take her to the food bank. And having her earn it is a good idea.

I think that's a great idea. As long as you stay firm in your expectations you should be alright. I don't know if she has a history of theft but I'd take or put valuables away just in case. We know as well as any how irrational an addicts mind can be even when it seems rational on the surface.
Not trying to be a downer just realistic and keeping expectations loose that you are setting yourselves bothe up for a positive, successful interaction.
