Hello everyone
Awww, Myweetoon, you're not alone! I spent 10 years "trying" to cut down on wine, get sober, etc. I was also drinking a bottle every night and felt like crap the next day, both physically and emotionally. I hated that I was literally pouring my life down the drain. What worked for me (and this is just me) was going to inpatient rehab. I've been sober for almost 6 months and I feel so much better. You can do this if you really want it! It's tough at first, but a lot of it is just getting a new routine. I would start at 5 or 5:30 and be in for the evening. Now that I've cut alcohol out of my life, I don't even really think about it anymore (at least when I'm home....when I see people drinking, it's another story!) Maybe you are drinking out of loneliness or boredom? Coming on this board is a great start, there's a lot of support.
