I think I have developed an ulcer from my drinking. Ive been sick since Thursday. Maybe this will help me stay sober. Its very sad that I want a scary health issue to keep me from drinking. I wish I could be happy and healthy without also wanting to booze my weekends away with my drunk friends.

You can be healthy and happy.... you should start by going to the doctor. And then stop picking up the first drink.

The days string along rather quickly and you will feel better.

You can - people do it every day. Why not make today be the day you choose to be one of them?

I'd highly recommend your first step would be to see a doctor. Alcohol abuse can cause many different kinds of health issues, and if you feel you already have some from your drinking you need to address them right away. Be honest about your drinking and your desire to quit.

You could also find an AA meeting somewhere today - there you will find people who have been through exactly what you have been and help you find ways to seek the help you need.

It really boils down to choices you make - and only you can make them.
