I agree with Fabela, I'm happy. Even if I have tough moments or cravings I am just generally happy throughout the day.

I'm so much more relaxed now, drinking was exhausting.

I get up every morning knowing I can choose what to do with my time. When I was drinking, alcohol dictated many of those choices.

I may only be a few days sober from a (relatively) young drinking habit, but knowing I'm stopping something before it takes over my life is a huge relief. And if I may be honest, kinda scary! What a bullet to dodge...

Also, going to sleep knowing I won't be hungover is a great thing indeed.

Motivation. I have a powerful inner drive but heavy drinking killed it completely.

This one is great to read. The great part is that you had a relatively young drinking habit. You did dodge a bullet. Believe me, you are very lucky. The longer you've been drinking, the deeper it creeps into all parts of your life and even into yourself.

Trust me, never, ever get to that point. Never, ever pick up a drink ever again.

I was going to say guilt free too...but as OP said it, my second big thing is:

Being awake all day and sleeping all night. Simple, but it's a revelation for me.

I hope I can be an example for others my age who picked up drinking as soon as they hit 21. Being college-aged doesn't mean you have an obligation to sucker punch your liver! Stop while you're ahead and you'll be much happier for it, that's what I'd say to anyone in their early 20's.

Oh, and don't fall into the trap of drinking to kill boredom! That one nearly got me.
