Day 1 - again

Looking forward to posting a subject line in the future - something better like Day 39. I'm still trying. Considering just staying home for a week to break the habit of work - stress - drink. Having a really rough tine with stress.

Day 1 for me again. I managed all last week and was busy with work , tired etc. Saturday came and I tumbled. I'll drink if I'm busy I'll drink if I'm not , or bored , or stressed. I guess we all have to work out causes , triggers . Self knowledge is a skill I'm developing :/ good luck .

Well done for getting here Beanie - I second that it would be helpful to work out your triggers. Then you can make a plan to avoid them/their effects.

I am glad you came back. I find avoiding triggers or old familiar habits was necessary to get through the first few weeks. Exercise helps me relieve stress. Also drinking and dealing with the aftermath is more stressful than being sober, although it might not seem like it at the time. Hang in there!
