Another Codeine Addict
Hi everyone. I have been reading a bunch of post on here from people addicted to codeine like myself. i am 10 days clean now and have no intentions of ever using that evil drug again. Unfortunately, it took my wife of 15 years saying "I've had enough" and leaving me. We are now talking and working towards slaying our demons. Mine, and some I caused her.
I have two grown daughters and two grandchildren. I j
have lied and denied I had a problem, to everyone I love the most. Now, without codeine controlling my thoughts and actions, i can see it all clearly. I'm on a mission to work on repairing those relationships.
I've learned a lot from you guys and you serve as a great inspiration to me.
Thank you.

Thanks everyone. It's your positive support that led me to join. Dee 74, I quit cold turkey. 11 days sober. I know I have an addictive type personality. I also know that I have a very determined and sometimes very stubborn personality too. When I'm done, I'm done ! As for codeine, I'm Done!!!! It is not worth everything I stand to lose. My wife, my siblings, my children, grandchildren and my life. I have an appointment with my pain management doc on 4/5. I intend to tell them everything that has occurred, and see what they recommend. One thing for sure......it won't be codeine!
