You are making the right decision. None of this would have happened in the way it did with drink in your life. I think the toughest battle you have right now is regarding your relationship as if it is recoverable how is it going to work with you working toward sobriety and your partner not wanting to follow that path. Your thoughts will be a lot clearer and you will get back on your feet faster without alcohol so just focus on that right now.
