Hi, I'm new to this. My boyfriend is now clean 34 days. This has been a hard road not only on him, but me as well. This is the first time in 30 years he's become sober. I am looking for pointers to help me to help him. We just had the discussion about no sex drive, thank goodness we had it because I was beginning to think he didn't want me or he had lost interest in me. I look forward to receiving pointers and do's & dont's.....ant help or advice is much appreciated.

But, how about helping yourself? Have you tried AlAnon as a support for you?

I'm glad your partner is sober

I think keeping communication open and honest is a great way for the both of you to give support.

You may each want to find support outside of the relationship too - there are many recovery groups around and forums like this one.

Your needs are important too
