Check here if yizzer might be of an Irish persuasion:

Jennifer O?Connell: 37 signs that you might be Irish

Definitely Mesa O'Man, K O'Weasel, Sao MacChick and The Wacker LBrain are.

well if you win the lottery, I'll take a Daiwa Caldia 2500 SHA instead

lunar - medium, but I think the penn is too heavy for the yak now that I looked more... they don't make a 2500 in that model...

I was at cabelas a month ago but they didn't have the 2500 in stock... their brand

Morning all! I'm an Irish girl from Boston, MA. St. Paddys Day doesn't really bother me... I've always had to work on it anyway! When I was in college my school had "green beer day". It was the Friday after St.paddys day and the town opened the bars at 5am. The school did not sponsor the event and tried to shut it down but we're never successful. Anyway it was insanity! Everyone would go to class from the bars, with green tongues and teeth ( they used green food coloring in the beer). Kids would fall off chairs and pass out in class etc. It was utter insanity!

Today I'm working til 5. Then I've got my Thursday night meeting then home to bed. Glad to be sober!

Welcome to your sober weekend one and all

You'd not notice of a St Pats day here , there might be something in the bars but i've not been in one in over 2 years so i'd not know .

the sun is shining and it is wonderful blue skies outside 9c maybe hitting 11 later !
daffodils are out looking good , i may go and try to take a photo this weekend if the weather stays clear .
Minor geomagnetics readings today apparently, so might catch a glimpse of an aurora later , the spectacular one was a couple of weeks ago, i went to bed early and missed it .

Lots to see and do , lots of opportunity to leverage the good in our lives if we stay sober.
Bad will happen but we don't need to stay stuck in it anymore.

keep on , m

finished breakfast - went with the three eggs that have been in the ice box that if they would have hatched they would be a couple pounds by now... peppers, onions and pepperoni, glass of POM juice and coffee, a good Irish breakfast.

I looked at the weather again - it's like hunting season, I check the weather very often. WE are supposed to up to 5 inches of snow on Sunday. Wash DC is 3 or 4 depending on which forecast you look at. However, if you look on the weather channel's website you don't get the weather, at least as far as I can tell from a few clicks. I have a new one --- The Weather Channel is to the weather as MTV is to music. I mean the MTV that is 30 years old. Come to think of it, is MTV still on?
lunar, I'm thinking 20 lb power pro with fluoro leader - or not

Behan ~

Right you likely are, Sir! Mess O'Man, here, is probably part Irish, and have a Shower Drain that proves it!

On my Adoption Papers, one 'Nadine Kerbo' is 50% responsible for popping me into this World. Pretty much an Irish Surname, although another more-Scottish name is listed as some sort of Alias. That leads to all sorts of sordid possibilities; part of the overall Adoptee 'fun'. I get to make it up as I go along.

This 20-something had an Affair with a Married 40-something. I'd always joked that I was the Product of a Waitress and a Sailor, and my Papers kinda-confirmed that hunch Years on.

Nuffin' special planned for today, except for gorgeous Weather. Work on the Stamped Concrete Patio carries on. I spent last Night scanning in Tax Docs. Fairly simple stuff, once I Downloaded legacy Printer/Scanner Software to this new Laptop. We'll carry on long distance with our same Tax Gal that we've had for ~30 Years. Along with working on Vehicle Transmissions, and pumping Septic Tanks, Taxes - and avoiding Jail - are best left to the Pros, me thinks. We've had Rental Properties, and once had to Foreclose on a Teacher 'Pal' we sold a House to on very favorable Terms. He screwed us on the 2nd Mortgage Payments, so complex Taxes followed that Year. Right after a Cigarette, and Attorney Consultations.

Some Irish Webcams for all.

Some of my favorite Irish Exports are linked below. Mixed by Def Leppard's Producer; hence the 'Heavy Metal Irish' Sound. A Kick Drum Tone that will just about punch your Sternum to the back of the Room...

ha, I was just getting ready to close up shop here and get to work around the house. Wife bitched at me yesterday because I didn't do laundry for a week.
But I'll answer the question MLD

Salt water fishing reels/rods, fishing line brands. The wife complains when I tell I need a fishing rod because "You already have too many."

This may not be the best analogy but it just came to me: Fishing rods are like women's shoes. Would you wear tan pumps with a black sequined evening dress? I think not. Different shoes for different occasions.
Fishing is the same way...
