No doubt Weekender March 11 part 1
I doubt I am an alcoholic. I just drink a lot.
I doubt I am a drug addict. I only do it a few times a month.
I doubt anyone will notice if I have another. So I will have just one more.
I doubt my drug dealer would stiff me. We are friends.
I doubt I can drive home. I will do it anyway so I can get to work tomorrow.
I doubt they will fire me. I am one of their best people.
I doubt I need rehab. I am not that far gone.
I doubt I can get sober. I don't know how to stop.
I doubt these people know what they are talking about. I have always taken care of myself.
I doubt I can stay sober. Forever is a long time.
I doubt I will drink again. My life has finally just begun to feel good.
If your additions are anything like mine then doubt plays a big role. For the bad or good it plays it is a real obstacle to progress.
I struggle with doubts about many things. I question nearly all I do. Helpful sometimes and other times just plain ridiculous. So I am working on seeing when I doubt and squash that thought!
No doubts at all that you can have a fantastic sober weekend!!!

I am in.
I've been feeling terrible lately so I have decided to go away for the weekend. We all deserve a break from time-to-time.
And you know the old saying "a change is as good as a rest".
I'm going to Co. Kerry with a friend.
So hopefully we'll have a good weekend.

Another undoubtedly good kick-off, Weasel.
Big day for me yesterday, it was my birthday! I made it to 41, another year in the books. The ladyfriend took me out to a great spot, way up in the mountains, we had the restaurant all to ourselves. Had a great dinner and capped it off with some cheesecake and a documentary at my place, couldn't ask for more.
Taking it easy this weekend and going to catch up on some sleep. Don't forget to turn those clocks forward on Sunday! Down here in Guatemala they don't do daylight savings, but my company is based in the USA so I still go to work one hour earlier. I love getting off work at 3pm, I can start my swimming routine at the local watering hole after work now! Keep it real, folks, keep it sober!

And you capped it off with a documentary at your place? Is that what you are calling it these days? Hmmm... I must be getting old.
